Insaaf-The Justice produced by Mohammed Fasih and directed by Shrey Shrivastava is a story about revenge and retribution. It fictionalizes an actual tragedy which happened in Bihar a few years back.
IAS officer Prasad (Sanjay Suri) gets posted in a north Indian city where he settles with his wife Kunti (Namrata Shirodkar). Kunti, a traditional housewife becomes an object of desire and lust for Bunty (Dayal Shankara) - the son of minister Rameshwari Verma (Kunika), who one day, rapes her. Prasad runs from pillar-to-post seeking justice. When his efforts fail to bear fruit, he commits suicide out of frustration. Suspecting foul play, the union home minister appoints a high-level CBI team to look into the matter and book the culprit.
Abhimanyu Singh (Dino Morea) plays an IPS officer, a man of proven integrity and monitored track record. He is assigned the responsibility of cracking the case. On his mission, he encounters a social worker Yogi, who is well-versed with the wrong happenings in the society. Yogi gives Abhimanyu the inside track about the incident.
