After many box office failures to his credit in the recent past, Boney Kapoor now joins hands with Sahara One to produce a mega project, 'Bewafaa' featuring an hard-hitting star cast ranging from Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Sushmita Sen, Shamita Shetty to Manoj Bajpai. Recently seen in the super hit 'Aitraaz', Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor look pretty confident in the success of their much-awaited flick, 'Bewafaa'. The year 2004 has been very hot 'n' lucky for Kareena since she enjoyed huge applause for her critically acclaimed performances in 'Chameli' and 'Dev', and enacted her characters with much gusto in 'Yuva' and 'Fida' and also tasted successes with recently released 'Aitraaz' and 'Hulchul'.
Raja Hindustani and Dhadkan fame director Dharmesh Darshan directs this emotional vehicle.
Anjali (Kareena Kapoor), who is the younger daughter of her parents (Kabir Bedi and Nafisa Ali), settles in Montreal, Canada. Aarti (Sushmita Sen) is her elder sister whom Anjali is very close to. Anjali is in love with a fusion musician-singer, Raja (Akshay Kumar), who is not rich but this does not make any difference to her, as she loves his soul only. Anjali shares this secret with Aarti, who gives assurance to the two that she will surely convince her parents for their marriage. But unfortunately for the lovers, before Aarti utters this to her parents, she passes away while delivering her twin daughters.
