We donno who did it but someone must have told Big B that it's quality which matters and not quantity. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who went on a film-signing spree of late, has started to walk out of some of the plum projects which he had signed earlier.
Bollywood grapevine has it that Big B has walked out of director Madhur Bhandarkar's much talked about project 'Police Force' in which he was to play a police officer along with Akshay Kumar.
The reason being given for Amitabh's departure from the film is that he has recently signed for Rajkumar Santoshi's 'Khakee' in which he is playing a cop. As the two films are believed to have almost similar storylines, it could have prompted AB to excuse himself from one project and concentrate on the other. Moreover, the film has the same cast of Akshay Kumar opposite him.
Another film Amitabh is reported to have walked out is producer Feroz Nadiadwala's 'Kutumb', which was supposed to cast Big B in a role similar to Marlon Brando's role in Francis Ford Coppola's 'The Godfather'.
Bachchan's decision to back out of 'Kutumb' came when its director Mahesh Manjrekar was replaced with Vikram Bhatt.
Vikram is reported to be considering Nana Patekar for the role. |
