Bhavna Talwar issues notice to Oscar jury

Irked by Oscar jury's preference for 'Eklavya' over 'Dharm', as this years official entry from India to Oscars in the foreign film category, Bhavna Talwar producer of 'Dharm' has served legal notice to the jury. Talwar has asked for the preference of 'Dharm' over 'Eklavya', it is reliably learnt. He has also challenged the credentials of the jury members, reveal sources close to the filmmaker.

The films that were in contest for the berth were as follows 'Eklavya', 'Dharm', 'Chak De! India', 'Gandhi My Father', 'Guru', 'Vivaah' and 'Swami'.

The 80th Oscars awards will be held on the 24th of February, 2008 in Los Angeles.
