Punjabi music has achieved a predominant position in the field of Indian music. Simple wordings and high energy level of contemporary Punjabi music have made it popular among the current generation. Punjabi songs are so versatile and vibrant that it appeals to any man even who does not understand the language. Punjabi people believe in living life to the fullest and this philosophy of their life is reflected through their songs. Many Punjabi singers have gained popularity and prominence in the national and international level. One more singer is on his way towards this popularity and prominence, and he is nun other than the upcoming Punjabi Singer Dilbagh.
Already one must have heard this song 'Oh Tina' on any of a music channel, as this song is rocking on all music channels. Album 'Oh Tina' is released by Revolutionary Forever Audio comprising 8 original tracks out of 9 tracks. Album starts with the title track 'Oh Tina' composed by Aditya and written by Mika & Dilbagh, continues with ' Geda' which is in techno style, and then comes 'Channa' composed by Sachin Gupta (Doorie Fame), ' Melley Mitran De', 'Nach De Panjabi', 'Nachna Kamaal' , ' Unglan Te Gabru', 'Sat Samundar Par' lastly 'Oh Tina'(Desi Mix). Each song of this album is quite different from each other since the music is given by different music directors. 1 st, 2nd, 4th, 5th songs were composed by Aditya, 6th & 9th songs were composed by Mandeep Singh, 7th song by Mika Singh and 3rd and 8 th by Sachin Gupta and Jeetu Ji respectively.
Dilbagh Singh, as a performer, musician, and song writer continuously reinvents himself and his art. He started his singing in school level zonal competitions at the age of 15. His early influences on music were by his sister Paramjeet Kaur, who taught him the Ragas and Shabdas from the Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Later he recognized as captain of school music group. After learning traditional classical music from Guru Rajinder Singh he started performing for Corporate, Govt. Institutions, College Festivals etc. As a special feature Dilbagh is one artist who conducted more than 350 shows with out having any private album to his credit. Then he sang rap for song 'Ganpath' in the film Shoot Out At Lokhandwala' and this was his first recording.
Song 'Oh Tina' choreographed by Fatima is a description of five different girls and their qualities. The song is so catchy and crisp that it creates that first time recall and creating more just the sensation. The popularity of Punjabi pop today traverses far across the borders, to countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan, South Korea, China, Egypt and Arab not to talk about its already huge following in the U.S and the United Kingdom. Almost a decade ago, Daler, along with Malkit Singh, pioneered the concept of Punjabi Pop music in India.
Dilbagh love to hear Mohd. Rafi, Kishore Da, Jagjeet Singh. Apart from these ace singers he is very much inspired by Nusrat Fathe Ali Khan. He can sing in languages like Hindi, Punjabi, English, Rajasthani, Haryanvi and Bhojpuri etc. Dilbagh's USP is his originality. Revolution Forever Marketing Pvt. Ltd. recognized his talent at an eve of their yearly celebrations of the company, where he performed non stop for three and a half hours. |
